Terms of Service

What Fleuron is

Fleuron is a collaborative markdown editor that lets you write, present, and share documents. It is provided by Victor Grycuk, an individual operating from Argentina.

By using Fleuron, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use it.

Service changes

Fleuron is provided as-is. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time, with or without notice. We’ll try to give you reasonable advance notice for significant changes when possible, but we’re not obligated to.

These terms may change too. Continued use of Fleuron after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms. The “last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.

Health and medical information

Fleuron is not a covered entity under HIPAA and is not designed or certified for storing protected health information (PHI). Do not use Fleuron to store medical records, patient data, or any information subject to healthcare privacy regulations.

Acceptable use

You may use Fleuron for any lawful purpose. You may not:

• Use Fleuron to create, store, or share illegal content
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service or other users’ data
• Use Fleuron to send spam, run phishing campaigns, or distribute malware
• Abuse the service in ways that degrade performance for other users
• Violate any applicable law or regulation

We reserve the right to determine what constitutes a violation of these rules. When in doubt, use your judgment.

Your account

You must be at least 13 years old to use Fleuron. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. We are not liable for losses resulting from unauthorized account access caused by your own actions or inactions.

We may suspend or delete your account at any time if we determine you have violated these terms, or for any other reason at our discretion. We’ll try to give you notice before doing so unless the situation requires immediate action.

You may delete your account at any time through the account settings.

API keys and third-party access

Fleuron allows you to generate API keys to access your account programmatically. When you share an API key with a third-party tool or service, that tool acts on your behalf and has the same access to your documents that you do.

You are responsible for any actions taken by tools or services you authorize via API key. If you believe your API key has been compromised, revoke it immediately from account settings and generate a new one.

Your content

You own the content you create in Fleuron. By using the service, you grant us a limited license to store and transmit your content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.

We do not claim ownership of your documents, and we do not sell your content to third parties.

When you share a document — whether as a read-only link or a live collaboration session — you are making that content accessible to others. You are responsible for what you share and with whom. We do not control how recipients use content you choose to share.

Content complaints

If you believe content shared through Fleuron infringes your copyright or otherwise violates your rights, email victorgrycuk@gmail.com with a description of the content, its location, and your contact details. We will review the complaint and remove content that clearly violates these terms or applicable law.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Victor Grycuk from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of Fleuron, your content, or your violation of these terms.

As-is, no warranties

Fleuron is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. This includes, but is not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will not be lost. You use Fleuron at your own risk.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Victor Grycuk shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Fleuron, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or your use of Fleuron shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or USD 10, whichever is greater.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Argentine Republic. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of Fleuron shall be resolved in the courts of Argentina, and you consent to their exclusive jurisdiction.
